Enter the Void

So I'm reading The Tibetan Book of the Living and the Dying by Sogyal Rinpoche. I felt I had to after watching the movie Enter the Void by Gaspar Noé  twice. Anyway here are some pictures from the film- I recommend both the movie and book to everyone !! :)

Marcel Castenmiller

So I've recently started following the male model Marcel Castenmiller and his model girlfriend Ali Micheal on instergram. Not only are they the coolest looking couple ever, but he is also a photographer. Anyways I then youtubed him and found this video and thought it was too cool to keep to myself.

Behind the Scenes: Marie Antoinette

I just watched a really good documentary on the behind the scenes for the movie Marie Antoinette. Sophia Coppola still firmly remains my favorite director...her mind is so interesting.

Song of the Moment

I found this song on Viva Radio. I think its the only truly good radio station...

Once Upon A Time

I was looking at Lindsey Wixson's Wikipedia page and found out that one of the first projects that she did as a model was appear in Karl Lagerveld's short film Once Upon A Time. After looking up the film I found out that  it is a short biography  about Coco Chanel (played by Keira Knightley) starting up her shop. I think this has to be one of Lagerveld's best short films...that man is a genius.

Serge and Jane

So I was looking at pictures of Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin in an article on Into The Gloss and thought these home pictures were too good not to be shared further. I think they reign as one of the coolest couples in history.

"Les modes passent, le style est éternel."

While in Paris my sister and I were determined to experience cinema the way the Parisiennes do and decided to watch Yves Sainte Laurent. We didn't understand a word of what they were saying but words are hardly necessary for a movie like this. The movie made walking around Paris even more surreal than it already was. After Paris we then went to Amsterdam and saw his famous dress which he was inspired by Piet Mondrian who was a part of the Dutch art movement called De Stjl in the Rijks Museum- that was probably one of the highlights of the whole trip.

Here are some pictures of the legend himself...

Even though Laurent has died the brand is still really cool...here is a video starring Cara Delevigne for their latest mascara.

Song One

I came across this video on youtube while still in my search for the perfect playlist. This scene is from the movie Paranoid Park by Gus Van Sant. Everyone should buy it as it is so good that my sister and I bought it the minute it ended. Anyway, I really love how Van Sant films skate boarding in this scene...he makes it look so tranquil and kind of creepy.

Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me.

I've been having an extremely Christmassy (haha) week doing only family stuff. I think it was much needed after my birthday last Thursday- need to recover to prepare for New Years. Anyways, on Sunday my sister and I decided to show my mother The Graduate and then after watched Alfie by ourselves. I think The Graduate is my favorite film of all- I really should buy it with birthday money because each scene looks like its own artwork. Here are about one million stills from The Graduate and I will post the ones from Alfie soon :D

I think she looks like a real-life Roy Lichtenstein...

This scene reminds me of Trip Fontein from The Virgin Suicides haha
